Imaging Facility
The imaging facility of the IBENS offers state-of-the-art optical and electronic microscopy techniques to local and external groups. The facility has received national recognition in the form of ’RIO’ and ’IBiSA’ certifications. The facility is constantly evolving and implements new technologies developed by groups at the IBENS.

Electron Microscopy
Users of the electron microscopy facility have access to a Transmission Electron Microscope (Philips/FEI TECNAI 12). The facility benefits from local expertise in sample preparation (including high-pressure methods and cryo-substitution), immunocytochemistry, serial sectioning and Tokuyasu method.
