Cette équipe fait partie du Centre de Biologie Computationnelle.

Le projet de recherche de notre équipe est l’étude de la morphologie et de la dynamique cellulaires à grande échelle. Nous nous intéressons notamment à caractériser l’hétérogénéité morphologique des réponses cellulaires aux perturbations. Nous travaillons également à l’identification de facteurs mécaniques ou moléculaires de la morphologie, de l’organisation et de l’activité cellulaires. Dans cette optique, nous tentons d’une part de générer de nouvelles sources d’informations à grande échelle telles que de larges jeux d’images ou d’expression génique. D’autre part, nous interprétons ces grandes données pour produire et valider des modèles prédictifs. Parce que l’échelle des données ainsi produites nous contraint à des approches exclusivement automatisées et quantitatives, nous mettons au point des algorithmes et des outils d’analyse de grandes données d’images et NGS. Les membres de notre équipe regroupent un panel de compétences variées telles que l’apprentissage automatique et profond, l’informatique, les mathématiques appliquées, la biophysique et l’analyse génomique. Nous appliquons nos approches à des questions développées de manière autonome comme la compréhension de l’action de composés à visée thérapeutique avec le concours de nos collaborateurs de l’Institut Curie et de l’industrie pharmaceutique. Nous les appliquons également à des questions de biologie fondamentale grâce à une interaction forte avec nos collaborateurs de l’IBENS, du Collège de France et de l’ESPCI : notamment en génomique fonctionnelle, en biologie du développement ou en neuroscience.
